The Lower Snake River Dams are devastating wild salmon populations, starving the endangered Southern Resident orcas, and costing the people of Washington State a lot more than they’re worth. Breaching would save orcas, salmon, and money. Not breaching them immediately would be, well, dam stupid.

WOULD RESTORING THE RIVER REVIVE DWINDLING SALMON POPULATIONS?  YES

WOULD RESTORING THE RIVER SAVE THE LIVES OF ENDANGERED ORCAS?  YES

WOULD RESTORING THE RIVER COST WAY MORE THAN WE’RE PAYING NOW?  NO

Let’s tell the politicians of Washington state and those in charge of the dams to not be #damstupid. It’s time to #FreeTheSnake. We must #BreachIn2018.

This site provides an introduction to the issue. To learn about it in more detail, go to damsense.org.

How can I help?

  1. Contact the White House (every day, if you can!) and tell President Biden that he has the authority and obligation to breach the Lower Snake River Dams NOW. No more stays, no more studies. Time is running out to save salmon, orcas, and money.
